The Alamo Area Council’s Adventure Boxes are returning for another exciting year, and we’ve made several improvements to make life even easier for our Cub Scout leaders.
What’s New This Year?
Year-at-a-Glance Planning Sheet
Each Adventure Box now includes a one-page yearly planning guide complete with QR codes that link directly to valuable resources, including the Alamo Area Council website, Scouting America Den Leader Resources, and Cub Scout Adventure instructions. Everything you need is just a quick scan away.
One Adventure, One Bag
No more digging through the box looking for supplies! Every required Cub Scout adventure is now packaged in its own bag, containing all the materials, instructions, and worksheets needed for that activity. Simply grab a bag and you’re ready to lead a great meeting.
Sized for Your Den
We know every den is different. This year, we’re working to provide the right amount of supplies in each kit, making Adventure Boxes more useful for both small and large dens.
Boxes with Handles
Our newest shipment of Adventure Boxes now includes built-in handles, making it easier than ever to transport your adventures from meeting to meeting.
We Need Your Help!
The Adventure Box program wouldn’t be possible without the support of our amazing volunteers. We are looking for volunteers to help assemble these important program kits for our Cub Scout leaders.
Assembly will take place at the Council Office on Wednesdays through Fridays during the last two to three weeks of July. Volunteer shifts are scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., but times can be adjusted to fit your schedule.

Pick Up Your Adventure Boxes at EXPO
The completed Adventure Boxes will be distributed during the Scouting EXPO on August 2 at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW). Watch our social media channels for additional details on how to reserve and sign out your set of Adventure Boxes.
