Fall Fundraiser for Units
Building a strong, adventurous program is a great way to keep Scouts active and interested in the Scouting program, and popcorn sales help fund those experiences. These fundraisers not only support our Units, but also provide support for the Alamo Area Council to serve its members and volunteer leaders with top-notch programs, training opportunities, and camping facilities.

70% of all sales stay right here in our local area
Many Units have raised sizable amounts of money from popcorn sales; providing for a secure and stable source of income to cover the cost of camping, badges/advancement, special events, Scout nights, and other outdoor adventures.
Scouting Units can earn up to 40% in commissions to pay for their Scouting adventures
No up-front cost or risk to the Units
Scouts learn salesmanship and build confidence
Units that participate in this Council-sponsored fundraiser have proven successful for more than 35 years. Nationwide, $4 billion is returned to Scouting at an average of $150 million each year!
Get Your Unit Ready for 2026
Through our partnership with Trails End, we’re taking a big step forward in how we support your unit’s fundraising efforts. For the first time, Trails End is working behind the scenes to help secure Show & Sale storefront locations for units across San Antonio and the 13 counties we serve.
Instead of every unit trying to line up storefronts on their own, this new approach helps match opportunities to your unit’s goals, availability, and preferences. But for that to work, we need one thing from you: A plan.

How to Get Started
Step 1: Getting your plan started is simple. Head to the Trails End Portal create an account.
Note: Some units may see a message that their account is pending Council approval after signing up. This is part of Trails End’s standard verification process to confirm each unit is part of the Alamo Area Council. Our popcorn team reviews and approves these requests on a regular basis, so units can continue onboarding as quickly as possible.
Step 2: Log into your account and click “Plan Your Fall Fundraiser,” on your leader dashboard.
- Set your unit’s fundraising goal
- Estimate how many Scouts will participate
- Choose your travel distance for storefronts
- Enter any blackout dates
That’s it. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just needs to be thoughtful.
