2025 has been full of adventure, growth, and memories for Scouts of all ages. Alamo Area Council Scouts were BUSY! They explored the outdoors at camp, raced Pinewood Derby cars, helped feed families through Scouting for Food, led Eagle projects, and learned new hobbies and skills. All of this was accomplished surrounded by friends and fellow Scouts. By renewing your membership in Scouting America, that adventure can continue.
A couple of years ago, Scouting America moved from the traditional “Recharter” season in November and December to a monthly renewal system. However, most Scouts’ memberships still renew at the end of the year — December 31.
With the holidays right around the corner, now is the perfect time to renew your membership before things get busy! Scouting provides incredible value — experiences that build confidence, character, and family memories — all for just $133 per year for Scouts or $65 per year for registered adults. That’s only about $11 per month per Scout or $5 per month per adult — a small price for a year of adventure.
Ways to renew your membership:
• Follow the renewal instructions in the email from Scouting America to update your information and submit payment.
• Call our Registrar at 210-341-8611 (Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.) to renew and pay by phone.
• Renew through your unit as part of a group renewal.
