Congratulations to Jim Lynch, the 2026 Philmont Staff Association Distinguished Service Award Recipient! Jim was recognized on July 2 during the PSA HOmEcoming reunion Opening Program. Jim’s son Will and daughter-in-law Samantha surprised Jim to share the celebration with Jim and wife Jane.
Jim is a retired USAF Colonel with a distinguished 24-year career. He has been a dedicated volunteer for the Philmont Staff Association in numerous capacities for more than 20 years, including serving as President for 6 years. He was the driving force behind the Campaign 4 Philmont capital campaign and has been a voice of reason and sense on the Presidents Committee and Awards & Recognition Committees. In addition, Jim has served in volunteer leadership roles for Scouting America at the council, territory and national level.
