Scouting America, Alamo Area Council provides both opportunities for our Scouts to provide community service AND for the community to engage with Scouting before joining.
Community Service – Do a Good Turn
Doing service projects together is one way that Scouts keep their promise “to help other people.” While a Scout should do his best to help other people every day, a group service project is a bigger way to help people.
Community Responsibility
Community responsibilities are an individual’s duties or obligations to the community and include cooperation, respect and participation. The concept goes beyond thinking and acting as individuals to common beliefs about shared interests and life.
To learn more about how the individuals within your corporation, business, or social group can participate with the Boy Scouts of America, Alamo Area Council in shared civic and improvement projects at one of our properties, please email community@AlamoAreaScouting.org.
