By Eliza Sutton, Ship 26 Yeoman
Sea Scout Ship 26 recently demonstrated its commitment to youth leadership by donating funds to the Alamo Area Council to help Scouts attend National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT). NYLT is Scouting America’s premier youth leadership course, designed to teach participants valuable skills in communication, teamwork, planning, and servant leadership.
By providing this donation, Ship 26 is helping ensure that deserving Scouts have access to leadership training regardless of financial circumstances. The donation will enable more youth to gain valuable skills and experiences that will benefit them throughout their lives.
Members of Ship 26 are proud to support the next generation of Scout leaders and believe that investing in leadership training strengthens the entire Scouting movement. Through this contribution, the Ship hopes to make a lasting impact on youth across the Alamo Area Council and help more Scouts experience the life-changing opportunities offered through NYLT.
