Beginning immediately, families registering through BeAScout.org can now choose Klarna as a payment option, making it easier than ever to join Scouting America by spreading annual membership fees into manageable payments instead of paying the full amount upfront.
We know that every family’s budget is different, and this new option helps remove one more barrier for youth who want to experience the adventure, leadership, and lifelong memories that Scouting provides.
How It Works
Joining Scouting is still quick and easy:
- Visit www.BeAScout.org and complete your child’s online membership application.
- Proceed to the payment screen and select Klarna as your payment method.
- Choose the payment plan that best fits your family’s budget.
- Complete your secure checkout through Klarna. Once your first payment is made and your payment schedule is confirmed, your Scout’s registration is instantly completed.
Flexible Payment Choices
Klarna offers several convenient payment options:
- Pay in 4 – Divide your registration fee into four equal payments made every two weeks, often interest-free.
- Pay in 30 Days – Register today and pay the balance within 30 days.
- Monthly Financing – Spread payments over a longer period. Interest may apply depending on the financing option selected.
These flexible choices allow families to start their Scouting adventure immediately while selecting a payment schedule that works best for their household.
Important Information
When creating a Klarna account, please note that some payment methods are not accepted, including certain credit cards such as American Express, Chase, and Capital One, as well as prepaid cards. Families should have an eligible payment method available during checkout.
