Vision

The Alamo Area Council Fishing Committee is the principal advisor for all AAC fishing programs. Their primary responsibility is guiding the development and promotion of the program, acquisition of equipment and materials, and maintenance of equipment.

Led by a cadre of adult volunteers, the Fishing Committee provides training for youth and adults throughout the year. We utilize the current scouting training curriculum, and periodically also offer training and certification through TPWD. The Fishing Committee also supports all AAC sponsored fishing events, as well as BSA National events e.g. High Adventure, Jamboree, etc.  We also help support some local community fishing events in efforts to help our community and as part of our recruiting efforts. 

Mission

The AAC Fishing Committee aims to promote exciting, challenging, and educational fishing programs conducted in a safe and healthy environment, by utilizing well-maintained equipment, led by trained volunteers and experienced anglers.
